On April 19, 1775, the shot heard ’round the world was fired. The Battles of Lexington and Concord fought between the British regulars and the American minutemen and others marked the beginning of the American Revolution. Today, we remember that anniversary with handwriting practice from the “Concord Hymn” by Ralph Waldo Emerson and the inscription found on the Concord Battle Monument. Each are available in print, cursive, and manuscript to trace as well as to copy below.
