On December 17, 1807, a baby boy was born to Quaker farmers in Massachusetts. His early life did not mirror those of some of the nation’s great writers. He did not have the opportunity for years of formal schooling, but that did not hamper his love of learning. At nineteen he would see his first poem published. During his life he would become one of the most respected and well-known authors of the time. Today let’s get to know John Greenleaf Whitter with a timeline worksheet quiz and a notebooking page.
You can also get a free John Greenleaf Whittier copywork printable excerpt of Snow-Bound here on Homeschool Giveaways & Freebis or a free copywork printable of “By Their Works” here on Blessed Beyond a Doubt.
