Today we celebrate the birthday of a literary pioneer. On February 8, 1828, Jules Verne was born in Nantes, France. His passion for science and fiction led him to write dozens of works that combined the two with adventure. Because of his passion for scientific knowledge, many of the futuristic science fiction settings he created eventually proved far more plausible than most expected. Today’s worksheet looks at a number of the science-related predictions he made and asks you to choose whether they are true or false.
