Paul Morphy was born on June 22, 1837. He learned to play chess when he was ten years old. In 1857, he would win the first American chess championship tournament. For two years, he would be virtually unbeatable, competing against the world’s best. Today we’re going to take a closer look at chess sets from around the world and then try our hand at designing our own!
