Robert Louis Stevenson was a writer who was born in Scotland in 1850. He struggled with poor health all of his life. He studied engineering and law, but his real love always remained writing. On June 28, 1888, he and his family left for the South Seas in search of a climate that would be better for his health. He had a gift for bringing a child’s world to life through poetry. Today’s timeline worksheet is copywork of his children’s poem “The Land of Story-Books.”
