FREE Bible Resource for Preteens and Teens-Study the Life of Moses, Part Five

This month, we’re wrapping up Exodus, though not the life of Moses, with a new printable resource. It’s designed to help the preteens and teens in your life, whether at home or at church, look more closely at the life of this incredible man. It will challenge them to read his story carefully, examine some questions in the light of both the Old and New Testaments, consider the details, and learn from what God has to teach us. If you’ve missed any part of our study, you can find links to all of them at the end of the post.

This set of activities looks at selected chapters from Exodus 24-40. It begins with the Israelites agreeing to keep the covenant with God and continues through His giving the Ten Commandments to Moses, the people’s worship of the golden calf, Moses’ request to see God’s glory, and God’s giving of the new stone tablets. It concludes with the setting up of the tabernacle, the anointing of Aaron and his sons, and God’s glory filling the tabernacle.

The activities encourage kids to slow down and carefully consider the text as they read and answer the questions. It asks them to think about why Aaron was so easily influenced to make an idol for the people after all he had seen and heard. It challenges kids to think about the ways we may try to add to what God has said and the dangers of doing so. It also asks them to think about Moses seeing God in a very special way.

Other activities include completing a word search, memorizing key verses, and summarizing what they read.
