The 30 Days of History series is designed to give your students 4-6 weeks of daily work focused on a specific topic or time period. Each volume looks at significant people and events and includes seven prompts for each day that ask questions to draw your students into researching and learning more. 30 Days of History: Pennsylvania History looks at people, events, key places, and more that were a part of Pennsylvania’s story from pre-colonial days through the events of modern history, including the terrorist attacks of September 11 and the miraculous rescue of the Quecreek miners. Well-known people and events are explored as well as lesser-known stories of inventors and leaders who changed not only the state but the world. This can be used as a supplement to your history class, as a tool to help develop research skills, or as fun work to fill in as needed. However you use it, you’re sure to learn more about Pennsylvania history and discover incredible stories along the way. Ages 11-18.
