Description
Build a Notebook: World Landmarks, Volume 1 combines elements of cut and paste with nonfiction text for a fun unit for upper elementary and early middle school students, approximately ages 8-12. Each page in the notebook includes a list of facts about a world landmark and the country it is located in. Students then turn to pages that include images of landmarks and maps of various parts of the world.
Using the clues and facts given, they identify the landmark and the country, cut them out, and paste them onto their notebook pages. A total of 18 landmarks from around the world are included in both color and black and white. Maps and answer key are provided in black and white only. 37 pages total. Ages 8-13.
Landmarks include Big Ben, the National World War II Memorial, Voortrekker Monument, Sydney Opera House, Eiffel Tower, Colosseum, Great Sphinx, Parthenon, Hiroshima Castle, Atomium, Arc de Triomphe, Statue of Liberty, El Castillo in Chichen Itza, Taj Mahal, Stonehenge, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Great Wall of China, and Christ the Redeemer statue.
