Description
The Draw and Explore History series is a great way to combine art and history. A short description of ten different explorers is given. Each is followed by a picture of the person on a grid. Next, students can do one or both of the assignments that follow. They can draw half of the portrait in a grid that shows half of the picture, or they can draw the portrait on an empty grid. Ten review questions and an answer key are also included. People included are Jim Bridger; Jacques Cartier; Rene-Robert Cavelier, Sieur de La Salle; Samuel de Champlain; John Charles Fremont; Henry Hudson; Zebulon Pike; Sir Walter Raleigh; Sacagawea; and John Smith. 26 pages total. Ages 8-13.
