Description
The Draw and Explore Social Studies series is a great way to combine art and social studies. A short description of ten different world landmarks is given. Each is followed by an image of the landmark on a grid. Next, students can do one or both of the assignments that follow. They can draw half of the landmark in a grid that shows half of the picture, or they can draw the entire landmark on an empty grid. Ten review questions and an answer key are also included. Landmarks included are the Arc de Triomphe, Colosseum, Great Sphinx, Great Wall of China, Leaning Tower of Pisa, National World War II Memorial, Parthenon, Stonehenge, Sydney Opera House, and the Taj Mahal. 26 pages total. Ages 8-13.
