Description
Get ready to learn about 26 famous artists from around the world and 32 of their most famous works with the Famous Artists From Around the World & Their Paintings Coloring Book! Your students can enjoy 63 coloring pages with large, traceable copywork and learn about the artists and their paintings. They can also enjoy coloring simplified versions of the paintings (some images are harder than others, providing a range of difficulty levels). It’s the perfect way to introduce art appreciation in a fun and engaging way. 66 pages total. Two levels are available, Levels B and C. Ages 5-10.
*Please Note: The representations of the paintings in this book are as faithful to the originals as possible and practical. Some may be selectively cropped for size and/or edited so the picture can be shared in a kid-friendly manner (such as The Creation of Adam and The Dream). Similarly, a small edit has been made to Michelangelo’s statue of David (a piece of clothing added) for the same reason.
Artists and paintings included are: Sandro Botticelli (Portrait of Dante); Leonarda da Vinci (The Lady with an Ermine, Mona Lisa, and The Last Supper); Michelangelo (David* and The Creation of Adam*); Raphael (The Sistine Madonna and The School of Athens); Pieter Bruegel, the Elder (The Harvesters); Peter Paul Rubens (Landscape with the Ruins of Mount Palatine in Rome); Diego Velazquez (Portrait of the Infanta Margarita Aged Five); Rembrandt (The Storm on the Sea of Galilee and Bust of a Man Wearing a Gorget and Plumed Beret); Johannes Vermeer (Girl with a Pearl Earring and The Milkmaid); Jean-Etienne Liotard (The Chocolate Girl); Jean-Honore Fragonard (A Young Gril Reading); Hokusai (The Great Wave Off Kanagawa); Caspar David Friedrich (Wanderer Above the Sea of Fog); Edgar Degas (The Dance Studio); Paul Cezanne (still life with apples); Claude Monet (Impression, Sunrise and Twilight, Venice); Pierre August Renoir (By the Seashore); Henri Rousseau (The Dream*); Paul Gauguin (Piti Tiena); Vincent van Gogh (The Starry Night); Georges Seurat (Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte); Edvard Munch (The Scream); Wassily Kandinsky (Upward); Piet Mondrian (Composition with Red, Blue and Yellow 1930); Kazimir Malevich (Suprematist Composition 1916); and Franz Marc (Blue Horse I).
