Description
The five units in the Fun with Cut & Paste Activity Bundle focus on critical thinking and science skills. Fun Fairy Tales Cut & Paste, Food Sequencing Cut & Paste, and Sports Cut & Paste all require kids to think about what is read or what they know and use that knowledge to complete the activities. Body Systems Cut & Paste introduces kids to information about the circulatory system, respiratory system, digestive system, nervous system, muscular system, urinary system, and skeletal system. Animals and Plants Cut & Paste explores habitats, food chains, parts of plants, and more. See a preview of each title at the links below.
Fairy Tale Cut & Paste: Give kids a way to have hands-on fun with ten fairy tales with this Fairy Tales Cut and Paste activity. Kids can read or listen to someone read to them a short summary of each fairy tale. They’ll need to listen closely, because the activity will ask them to choose the five images that belong to the story. Each worksheet includes one image that was not part of the story (such as an ice cream truck in the story of Little Red Riding Hood). They can enjoy the color version or color the black and white version (both versions are included). The stories in this activity unit are: Alice in Wonderland, Cinderella, The Emperor’s New Clothes, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, Snow White, The Three Little Pigs, and Thumbelina. This is an easy way to have fun with fine motor skills practice while practicing reading or listening comprehension. An answer key is included. 24 pages total.
Food Sequencing Cut & Paste: Have fun helping your student develop critical thinking and fine motor skills with this fun Food Sequencing Cut & Paste activity. Each of the twelve activities begins with a short description of how the featured food is made. Next there are six pictures illustrating the steps discussed. Kids can read the description or listen as you read it to them and try to match the pictures to what is being read. Then they cut out the pictures and glue them to the worksheet. They can color the pictures in the black and white version first if they choose, or you can use the color version that is also included.
Twelve fun food themes are included: making pancakes, getting cereal ready to eat, making and eating cookies, making and drinking a milkshake, getting milk to drink, making caramel apples, making cinnamon rolls, making cornbread, making cupcakes, making microwave popcorn, making brownies, and making French toast. 45 pages total.
Sports Cut & Paste: Give kids a fun way to learn about eleven different sports with this hands-on Sports Cut and Paste activity. Kids will have a chance to read brief histories of eleven different sports, cut out pictures of some of the equipment that goes with each one, and paste them in the boxes given. The sports included are baseball, basketball, cheerleading, American football, golf, soccer, gymnastics, ice hockey, curling, mountain climbing, and tennis. Both a color and black and white version are included so students can color one set if they wish. This is an easy way to have fun with fine motor skills practice. An answer key is included. 31 pages total.
Animals and Plants Cut and Paste: In this Animals & Plants Cut & Paste unit, kids can complete 13 hands-on science activities. They will identify foods as either fruits or vegetables, determine if animals are vertebrates or invertebrates, match animals to the proper habitat, match plants and animals to their proper place in food chains, and match parts of plants to the correct terms. It’s fun, easy, and no-prep. Plus, there’s an answer key at the end for a quick check. 31 pages total.
Body Systems Cut and Paste: Help kids learn about major organs and body systems with this hands-on Body Systems Cut and Paste activity. Kids will have a chance to practice and show what they’ve learned about the circulatory system, respiratory system, digestive system, nervous system, muscular system, urinary system, and skeletal system. Both a color and black and white version are included so students can color one set if they wish. This is a fun way to combine science and fine motor skills practice. An answer key is included. 28 pages total.
Please note: this resource does not go into depth about the body systems. It is primarily a review or supplemental pack that can be used with any curriculum. You may also enjoy A Closer Look at Body Systems, a bite-sized teaching unit about the major organs and systems of the body.
