Description
Geography Around the World introduces students to continents, capitals, landforms and biomes, major lakes and rivers, mountain ranges, political boundaries, and more. Students can have fun completing a range of activities including matching, decoding puzzles, multiple choice, map work, and even an international traders’ challenge. 279 pages total. Answer keys are included.
This geography curriculum is comprised of eight units, with each unit increasing in difficulty and grade level. Unit 1 is appropriate for 1st grade, Unit 2 is appropriate for 2nd grade, etc., through Unit 8 for 8th grade. However, these units can be begun at any point. For example, if you have a 4th grader who has not had much background in geography, you may choose to do Units 1, 2, 3, and 4 at the pace that fits your schedule. Your student may find some of the lessons and activities in the earliest units below his or her ability, but it will provide a solid introduction to world geography. Or, if you review the content in those units and find your student already has an understanding of those concepts, you can simply start with the unit matching your student’s grade level. Ages 5-13.

This is an unbelievably comprehensive resource to use and can be used with a broad age range. We went through a lot of the material in grade 2 and will be cycling through it again as the kids get older. I love curriculum that continues to teach for years to come. You can’t beat the amount and quality of content for the price!
