Description
Come discover some of the many plants that are part of Christmas celebrations around the world with the Learning About Christmas Plants From Around the World Coloring Book. Students can discover some of the many kinds of trees that are decorated each year, from the blue spruce, balsam fir, and Douglas fir to cypress trees in Kenya and banana trees in India. They can learn about trees with “Christmas” in their name such as the Western Australia Christmas tree (Nuytsia), New Zealand Christmas tree (Pohutukawa), and more. They can read about a partridge in a pear tree and a pukeko in a ponga tree. They can also read about Yule logs, Christmas flowers (including how the poinsettia got its name), Christmas cacti, mistletoe, holly, and ivy. Plus they can learn about how plants such as straw, bamboo, and even radishes, oranges, and prunes are used in decorations.
