Description
Take your younger elementary students on an exploration of life science, earth science, and physical science with the Learning About Science Level 2 Complete Set. The main titles in this series study what an ecosystem is, how food chains work, why animals hibernate, how plants grow, some of the ways we use plants, major body systems and key organs and tissues, the water cycle, types of clouds, the planets, constellations, forces, simple machines, the scientific method, famous scientists, and more. Students can personalize each book by coloring the illustrations and tracing the key words in the space provided. Incorporate some fun and handwriting practice into science. Review activity sheets with answer keys are included. 163 pages total.
The corresponding activity books cover the same material and help your students have fun learning the key terms and definitions covered through engaging activities such as various types of word puzzles, cut and paste activities, mazes, dot-to-dots, multiple choice puzzles, matching, drawing, word searches, and more. Answer keys are included. 174 pages total.
Additional Print & Cursive Connections books follow the same themes. Print & Cursive Connections are designed to help young writers see the connection between print and cursive by practicing them together while enjoying learning about a fun topic. In the first pages of the unit, words are stacked so that print is immediately followed by cursive. Students then trace the words in the same pattern. Finally, students can write both words following the pattern. After the individual terms, students can practice complete sentences using the same pattern. This set includes 134 terms and 134 sentences about body systems, food chains, hibernation, how plants grow, scientists and the scientific method, simple machines, space, and the water cycle. 322 pages total.
This bundle is perfect for 1st-3rd grade! Ages 5-10. See a preview of each title at the links below.
All measurements are given in both English and metric. This title does not discuss origins or the age of the earth. If you would like to explore the topics in this book from a Creation science worldview, a free download is included with links to numerous free resources to help you do that.
Also available in three separate money-saving bundles: Learning About Science, Level 2; Learning About Science Level 2 Activity Books; and Print & Cursive Connections: Set 2, Science.
