Description
Many enjoy studying the Jewish traditions found in the Old Testament as a way of gaining a deeper understanding of Jesus in the New Testament. Part of understanding the background behind the Jewish feasts is becoming familiar with the calendar used during Biblical times. This set of copywork includes one or more verses related to each month of the Jewish year, beginning with Nisan and ending with Adar. A list of the names of the months is given (along with several alternate spellings for some months) as well as a guide to roughly when on the Gregorian calendar the months correspond to, such as March-April, April-May, etc. These are a perfect way to add some copywork and handwriting practice into your day. Traceable copy and blank lines are both included. Available in print and cursive handwriting versions. Ages 8-13. 56 pages total.
This set includes Nisan (Nissan), Iyar (Zif, Iyyar), Sivan, Tammuz (Thammuz), Av, Elul, Tishrei (Ethanim, Tisri), Marcheshvan (Cheshvan, Heshvan, Bul), Kislev (Chisleu), Tevet (Tebeth), Shevat (Sebat), and Adar. Verses are included from Exodus, I Kings, 2 Kings, Nehemiah, Esther, and Zechariah. All verses are from the King James Version.
