Description
This Rivers of the World Compare and Contrast Notebook is designed to help students research and discover 54 rivers from around the world. It includes multiple activities for students to research and then compare and contrast the rivers. For example, they could choose to compare and contrast the Amazon River and the Balsas River.
For each pair of rivers studied, there is a research page where they can record answers to questions about the rivers such as where each is located, how long each river is, what kinds of animals live in or near each river, what cities are near each river, and how and why each river is important. The second activity is a pair of Venn diagrams to complete. The third assignment is to draw a picture of the river and some of its animals and note which animals are included. The final assignment is for students to create flashcards to help them remember key information about animals studied.
Worksheets for comparing 54 rivers in 27 pairs are included. A blank set of worksheets for comparing additional rivers or comparing two of the rivers in a different pair are also included. 116 pages total.
