Description
The story of America from the presidency of George Washington through Theodore Roosevelt is shared in this HUGE resource that includes coloring pages and copywork. Discover key events from the presidency of each leader, learn about other key events happening while they were in office, and learn about the vice presidents and first ladies from 1789 through 1909. The growth of the nation, major wars, the Trail of Tears, the Texas Revolution, the Erie Canal, the Oregon Trail, the 1849 gold rush, Uncle Tom’s Cabin and slavery, the Pony Express, the Civil War, major amendments, the transcontinental railroad, and so much more is explored.
There are 156 coloring pages with large print or cursive, traceable copywork. It’s a great way to work some history and handwriting practice into your day. You can even display the finished pages around the room as a way to see the story unfold. 159 pages total. Two levels are available, Levels B and C. Ages 5-10.
Also works great with A Detective’s Guide to American History: 1800 to 1900!
A note about coloring book levels:
Level A: Coloring pages include single word or phrase copywork (traceable print)
Level B: Coloring pages include full sentence copywork (traceable print)
Level C: Coloring pages include full sentence copywork (traceable cursive)
Pictures may vary or repeat between levels. Not all books are available in all three levels; new levels will be added as available.

This is a comprehensive coverage of the American Presidents. You could use it as a stand alone introduction or as a supplement to any of Bonnie Rose’s many products on American history. We are true advocates of the “I drew it and knew it” philosophy that reinforces the main points of American history. We have colored and kept the pages for the next time we go through this time period. By hanging it up on the wall, we get a colorful perspective of American history.
