A lot of history curriculum provides informative text for your child to memorize, but Bonnie Rose’s resources go the extra mile by encouraging your children to reflect on why history happens. For example, people are rebelling against King George III – What would you say and do? When you put yourself in the place of the people in that time period, you may realize why they behaved the way they did. The questions are very thought-provoking! As an adult, it got me thinking … What might I have done if I lived in that time period? What would I, from the relative peace and prosperity I enjoy nowadays, advise the people knowing how history has turned out.
