Can God See Me? Isn’t that a question each of us asks, whether we are a little one curled up with a parent and a picture book or an adult who wishes they could curl up with a book and escape the questions and demands of life for a while?
The latest picture book by author Penny Reeve tackles the question Can God See Me? from the point of view of a little boy whose imagination gets the better of him. The opening page begins:
“I read in the Bible, so it must be true, God can see everything that I do. But . . .”
What follows is a zany ride through wild circumstances that continue to raise the question—can God really see me? The illustrations are lots of fun, including a wigged wallaby! It is an adorable book that reminds me that no matter how crazy my life becomes, or what path I may find myself on, God can indeed still see me.
And that is a most comforting thought.
