30 Days of History: War of 1812: The 30 Days of History series is designed to give your students 4-6 weeks of daily work focused on a specific topic or time period. Each volume looks at significant terms and events and asks 7 questions on each that will draw your students into researching and learning more. 30 Days of History: War of 1812 looks at people, events, important battles, and more. This can be used as a supplement to your history class, as a tool to help develop research skills, or as fun work to fill in as needed. However you use it, you’re sure to learn more about the War of 1812 and discover history along the way. Limited time freebie.
Draw & Explore Science: Types of Leaves: The Draw and Explore Science series is a great way to combine art and science. A short description of ten different types of leaves is given, focusing on types of trees and vein patterns in leaves. Each is followed by an image of the leaf on a grid. Next, students can do one or both of the assignments that follow. They can draw half of the leaf in a grid that shows half of the picture, or they can draw the entire leaf on an empty grid. Ten review questions and an answer key are also included. In the first pages of the unit, each inventor’s name is stacked so that print is immediately followed by cursive. Students then trace the names in the same pattern. Finally, students can write both names following the pattern. After the twelve individual names, students can practice eleven complete sentences using the same pattern. 27 pages total.
