Description
The Draw and Explore Bible series is a great way to combine art and Bible. A short description and Scripture passage for each of ten different images illustrating various parts of the life of Abraham is given including leaving Ur, the promise of Isaac, the three visitors, and the sacrifice. The account of the Tower of Babel is also included at the beginning of the unit. Each is followed by an image on a grid. Next, students can do one or all of the assignments that follow. They can draw half of the image in a grid that shows the left half of the picture, half of the image in a grid that shows the right half of the picture, or the entire image on an empty grid. This makes the unit completely flexible for both left-handed and right-handed students.
The Draw & Explore for Kids titles are different from the other titles in the Draw & Explore series because of the types of images used. The images in Draw & Explore for Kids are generally younger-themed and slightly less realistic. Young students are encouraged to draw as much of the image as they can, even if it is not the entire image.
Ten review questions, an opportunity for students to put the events in chronological order, and an answer key are also included. Two versions are available so you can choose Scripture quotations from the King James Version or English Standard Version of the Bible. 33 pages total. Ages 5-10.
