On June 6, 1944, approximately 150,000 American, British, and Canadian forces attempted to take control of five beaches along the coast of France. The landings of the troops in the Normandy region and the battles to take control of this area have been referred to as the beginning of the end of World War II in Europe. Today’s worksheet contains two printable activities. One is a map activity; the other is a quiz about famous people and places of World War II.
