What explorer was the first to travel the Bering Strait (hint: it was not the explorer who it was named after)? Which Estonian explorer followed the footsteps of James Cook, headed south, and is believed to be the first to see the Antarctic mainland (though he failed to realize what he had seen)? We’re going to go on a journey through the alphabet, through time, and around the world to discover some of history’s “forgotten” explorers. Volume 1 studies Antonio Alaminos, Fabian von Bellingshausen, Pedro da Covilha, Semyon Dezhnev, Edward John Eyre, and Percy Harrison Fawcett. There are maps and notebooking pages for each explorer.
