Description
The first time I remember learning about persecution was in a newsletter or church bulletin that I read. I was probably around 10 or 12 years old, and the story I read was about a group of young girls in China who were martyred when they would not deny Christ. I never forgot that story. How could kids not much older than I was suffer like that for their faith? A Martyr’s Christmas was written with the prayer that boys and girls would understand the reality of persecution today in a way that is appropriate for their ages. Explore Colombia, India, Turkey, and Algeria, and meet men and women who suffered for their faith in Christ at Christmastime in this age-sensitive unit study for elementary-middle school ages. Ages 8-10.
