The Draw and Explore Science series is a great way to combine art and science. A short description of ten different amphibians and reptiles is given. Each is followed by an image of the animal on a grid. Next, students can do one or both of the assignments that follow. They can draw half of the animal in a grid that shows half of the picture, or they can draw the entire animal on an empty grid. Ten review questions and an answer key are also included. Animals included are the alligator, crocodile, desert tortoise, Gila monster, horned lizard, iguana, newt, sea turtle, strawberry poison dart frog, and tiger salamander. 26 pages total. Ages 8-13.
