Description
The Draw & Explore History series is a great way to combine art and history. A short description of ten different wonders of the world is given. Each is followed by an image of the famous landmark on a grid. Next, students can do one or all of the assignments that follow. They can draw half of the image in a grid that shows the left half of the picture, half of the image in a grid that shows the right half of the picture, or the entire image on an empty grid. This makes the unit completely flexible for both left-handed and right-handed students. Ten review questions and an answer key are also included. Ages 8-13.
This unit includes ten total sites drawn from the list of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World as well as the list of the New 7 Wonders of the World and other various lists of wonders. The wonders included in this unit are Abu Simbel, Brooklyn Bridge, Burj Khalifa, Christ the Redeemer Statue, Empire State Building, Lighthouse of Alexandria, Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, Petra, Petronas Twin Towers, and Teotihuacan.
