Why do your eyes see? Why does your tongue taste? What causes sinusitis, and why does it make it so hard to smell or even breathe? These are just a few of the answers students will learn the answers to as they take an in-depth look at how our senses work. They’ll learn the location and function of many different parts of the eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and skin as well as take a fun look at optical illusions. Numerous diagrams are given to help make these concepts accessible and easier to understand.
At the end of the unit, students can review 35 vocabulary words, label various diagrams showing the location of key parts of the five senses, and enjoy a review activity. Answer keys are provided. 37 pages total. Ages 11-13.
All measurements are given in both English and metric. This title does not discuss origins or the age of the earth. If you would like to explore the topics in this book from a Creation science worldview, free downloadable discussion helps are available.
