Starts With . . . Identifying Beginning Letter Sounds

There’s a lot to learn when you are a beginning reader! You can help making learning to read more fun with this Identifying Beginning Letter Sounds unit. Each page includes a letter to trace from A to Z. Both an uppercase and lowercase letter is given. You can have your student trace the letters while you talk about the sounds the letter makes. Then your student can name the objects on the page. As they do, help them listen to the name of each object and choose which of the objects start with the sound of the letter on that page. Your students can then color the images that start with that sound or circle the correct pictures, whichever is preferred. It’s easy, no-prep, reading fun for your young early readers. 30 pages total. Ages 3-7.
